Week 7 (Two Bits..Four Bits..Six Bits..a Gator...Callin' Baton Rouge)

We have made it to week seven, which has lined up to be one of the best weeks of the season. First, a look back at last weeks setup for this week. On Friday, UCF was essentially taken out of the playoff by dropping their second straight game. Michigan got a much needed win over Iowa. Bo Nix had his freshman moment in Gainesville as Florida defeated Auburn 24-13. Georgia struggled early, but pulled away for a 29 point win over Tennessee. Oregon beat California by 10. Stanford beat Washington by 10 in what has become a wild and crazy PAC-12. Now, onto my playoff outlook after week six.

College Football Playoff

4 Clemson vs 1 Alabama

3 Oklahoma vs 2 Ohio State

First Two Out

5 Georgia

6 LSU

Picks for Week 7 (All times central)

Colorado vs Oregon 9:00pm (Friday) FS1 (Pick: Oregon)

Oklahoma vs Texas 11:00am FOX (Pick: Oklahoma)

Florida State vs Clemson 2:30 ABC (Pick: Clemson) Alabama vs Texas A&M 2:30 CBS (Pick: Alabama)

Michigan State vs Wisconsin 2:30 BTN (Pick: Wisconsin)

USC vs Notre Dame 6:30 NBC (Pick: Notre Dame)

Penn State vs Iowa 6:30 ABC (Pick: Penn State)

Upset Watch/What to Watch For

The Red River Rivalry is officially back to how it used to be. A high profile matchup between two highly ranked teams. Will USC show up and test Notre Dame in a rivalry game. Penn State has an Iowa team who is coming off of a loss to Michigan. Can Oregon survive as the PAC-12's last hope for the College Football Playoff.

Game of the Week

Florida vs LSU 7:00 ESPN

In what could be called an SEC quarterfinal playoff game, this is the highest impact game of this week. Florida still has to play Georgia and LSU still has to play Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M. The winner of this game will be in line for a playoff spot. The loser could be out. Florida showed out last week against Auburn. LSU has been electric on offense this year. We have not seen this version of LSU in years. Joe Burrow is on fire as their QB. This game may come down to one or two plays late. Florida played off the crowd last week against Auburn in Gainesville. Death Valley is one of the top three toughest places to play a night game. It is going to be insane in Death Valley come Saturday night. The Gators can say two bits..four bits..six bits..a dollar all for the Gators stand up and cheer. The Tigers will be callin all of Baton Rouge. This will be a defensive shootout. The first team to 17 may win the game. Since the game is in Baton Rouge, I have to pick the LSU Tigers.

(Pick: LSU)

Have a magical day and we will SEE YA! real soon.
