Top 10 Disney Movie Songs

We all know the lyrics from our childhoods and even our

adulthood. We can all agree that Disney has created some of the best songs of all time. Classics include, Circle of Life, Beauty and the Beast, and Be Our Guest just to name a few. I love Disney songs. I was raised on Disney movies and can belt out these lyrics anytime. What is my top ten though? Well lets go take a look at my top ten Disney movie songs.

Note: One song per movie for the top ten. There can be two songs from a movie but the second will be in honorable mention

-Honorable Mention

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah: Song of the South

Zero To Hero: Hercules

How Far I'll Go: Moana

Under The Sea: The Little Mermaid

Be Our Guest: Beauty and the Beast

This was tough to not include these in my top ten, but Song of the South is Disney's most controversial film. Hercules is great, but this is the one song that stands out from the movie. Moana has this and You're Welcome as the standout songs. The Little Mermaid does make another appearance on this list and it was a tough call. The unofficial 11th spot is Be Our Guest. This is a solid song with big choruses and big show scenes in the movie. The one that is ranked will make more sense in the end.

10: Two Worlds (Tarzan)

This song basically sums up the movie into a song. I will not spoil it but if you hear this song you know what movie it is. Phil Collins did the soundtrack for Tarzan and it is great.

9: Some Day My Prince Will Come (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

This song is the groundwork for all Disney princess films that come after the first major motion picture for Disney. it is associated with every other princess story in some way or another.

8: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Mary Poppins)

One of if not the longest words in the English language is also a Disney song. This has a catchy beat and memorable lyrics. It sums up what a Disney song was at this time in the company during the 1960s.

7: Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas)

The Disney renaissance or the 1990s is heavily represented on this list. This song is great because it points out John Smith and the rest of settlers faults while showing them what they miss along the way. This is the flagship song of this movie and it is everything that a Disney renaissance song is supposed to be.

6: Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid)

The first movie of the renaissance period for Disney. This song is everything this movie has to offer. No spoilers but if you hear this song you will easily grasp the concept of the movie.

5: Let It Go (Frozen)

FREEZE! I know you are saying only five. I cannot push myself to put a song this recent higher. This is a song that belongs and would fit in the Disney renaissance, but it is about 20 years later. Great song but not great enough.

4: A Whole New World (Aladdin)

We are now stepping into strong classic songs. Songs that have been around for years and still live just as strong as they did when first released. The live-action remakes only give these songs new life. Great song and maybe the third best movie of the renaissance era.

3: Beauty and the Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

The songs shares the name of the movie and is everything the movie is. It is a song that has crossed over into popular culture with the title. The classic line "tale as old as time." shows the strength of this song.

2: Circle of Life (The Lion King)

NANTZ INGONYAMA!!! Almost everyone knows this movie by this song. The first two words are so iconic along with the sunrise scene to begin the song. Enough said, but on to number one.

1: When You Wish Upon a Star (Pinocchio)

The essential Disney song. Any movie by the company can be associated with this song. Circle of Life is number two to this because of the legendary status of this song. It is on commercials, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and more.

This is my top ten Disney songs and it is a very strong and tough list. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below or on our social medias @DISPNofficial. What is your top Disney song? Have a magical day and we will SEE YA! real soon.
