NFL Week 2 (Revenge Of The Saints)

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

Hello and welcome back you sweet creation that was created in 1920. Professional football is back! Now, we are on to Week 2 after a lackluster Week 1 that had some drama, but not a ton.

First, a recap of the high points of week 1. The Browns came out and got smashed by 30 at home by the Titans. Lamar Jackson put up an MVP performance, it was Week 1 I know, but he had a 158.3 passer rating which is perfect. This rating measures many variables for how a quarterback performs. First overall pick Kyler Murray led an 18 point comeback to force overtime and ended in a tie. The Patriots rolled over the Steelers by 30. Then Monday happened. The last minute of Houston vs New Orleans had the following Wil Lutz(NOLA) field goal to extend a three point lead to six. Houston then scored in two plays to go up by one with :37 left. Drew Brees led a drive down the field to setup a 58 yard field goal for Wil Lutz to win it 30-28 as time expired. Now, onto this weeks big games. Note: Each week there is a game that is a matchup of a historic game. We will pick that game every week and note it. Last week it was Green Bay vs Chicago.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers 7:20 Thurs NFLN (Pick: CAR)

Seattle Seahawks vs Pittsburgh Steelers 12:00 FOX (Pick: SEA)

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers 12:00 FOX (Pick: MIN)

Kansas City Chiefs vs Oakland Raiders 3:05 CBS (Pick: KC)

New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Rams 3:25 FOX (Pick: LAR)

Philadelphia Eagles vs Atlanta Falcons 7:20 NBC (Pick: ATL)

Cleveland Browns vs New York Jets 7:15 Mon ESPN (Pick: CLE) (NFL 100 Game of the Week)

Things To Watch For

The game in Pittsburgh could be an offensive shootout, but it will be interesting to see how the Steelers respond after a 30 point beatdown by the Patriots. Can the Vikings keep up what happened last week or will Green Bay's defense prove it was not just a one week wonder. Watch the run game of Minnesota vs Green Bay's defense. The rematch of the most controversial game of last season will be fun to watch. Expect offense everywhere and watch for a challenge of a pass intereference call late in this game because it would be the right thing to happen after the game last season. Can Atlanta respond to what happened last week with their offensive line. Now down a starter what will happen with this team. Does Cleveland respond and comeback with a win over the Jets? The Monday night game was also the matchup of the first ever Monday night football game.

It should be a more dramatic week two and we are getting closer to find out what teams will become. Have a magical day and We will SEE YA! real soon!
