Conference Championship Week (LSU Takeover of Atlanta)

Alabama lost to Auburn for the second time in three years and it will cost them a playoff spot this season. That is the big story out of last week. Let's not waste any time with getting into picks this week. The committee's and our rankings matched exactly.

4 Georgia vs 1 Ohio State

3 Clemson vs 2 LSU

5 Utah

6 Oklahoma

What to Watch For

A lot at stake this week and that is common sense, but the playoff is basically set except for the fourth spot. Pay attention to the PAC12 and BIG12 because if Utah wins then it could get really interesting. If Utah loses then we go down the road that leads to the unknown. The BIG12 will be an elimination game for the loser. Ohio State and Clemson should be in regardless, but if chaos ensues then the door is open.

Game of the Week

SEC: Georgia vs LSU 3:00 CBS

This is what the SEC Championship is supposed to be all about. Everything at stake for both teams. LSU's offense vs Georgia's offense, I will pick LSU's. The defense give me Georgia. When the sun sets outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the lights are brighter and the stage is larger, this will be a QB duel. There is a chance that Utah, Oklahoma both win and have a shot at the playoff, but if Georgia wins then the committee's job will be simple. I do not think Georgia can run with LSU's offense. They must make it a defensive battle. Expect points everywhere across the board. I can also see a sluggish start break out. Georgia can only win this game if it becomes a defensive game in the 20s and 30s. LSU can only win if the game gets in the 40s. If the committee had it easy then it would not be fun at all for the media. (Pick: LSU)

Have a magical day and we will SEE YA! real soon.
