CFP Preview (Tigahs, Sooners, Tigers and Buckeyes OH MY!)

We have finally reached the end of the regular season and are about to watch the first college football playoff without mighty Alabama. How did we get to this point. LSU went 13-0 beating everyone and scoring at least 40 in every game. They went to Tuscaloosa and slayed the giant named Alabama. Ohio State went 13-0 and barely struggled until the Big Ten Championship where they came back and won. Poor ole Clemson went 13-0 while being the most underrated 13-0 team ever according to Coach Dabo Swinney. Oklahoma went 12-1 and slipped into the playoff after a two loss Oregon won the PAC-12.

When are they playing?

Saturday December 28, 2019

Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl (Atlanta) 4 Oklahoma vs 1 LSU 4:00pm/3:00pm (Eastern/Central) ESPN

Playstation Fiesta Bowl (Phoenix) 3 Clemson vs 2 Ohio State 8:00pm/7:00pm (Eastern/Central) ESPN

CFP National Championship Game (New Orleans) Monday January 13, 2020

What to Watch For

Peach Bowl (Oklahoma vs LSU): They may break the scoreboard in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Jalen Hurts returns to the building where he was benched en route to a national championship and then came off the bench to win the SEC Championship to send Alabama back to a playoff. He has been in three straight playoffs. How will he respond when he is the true underdog? LSU has been rolling all season long. They have only been truly tested three or four times all season. There defense has been suspect as well as Oklahoma's. What will happen in Atlanta is yet to be seen. Bold Prediction: Jalen Hurts has 500+ total yards.

Fiesta Bowl (Clemson vs Ohio State): One is a legendary program. One is a program that is becoming legendary. They played in this same game and Clemson shut out Ohio State 31-0. The Big Ten has not scored a point in the playoff since Ohio State won the first national championship of the playoff in the 2014 season. Clemson has history in this building of winning and losing. Expect a knockdown drag-out fight to break out in the trenches. These teams are going to play a hard-nose physical football game. How will poor ole Clemson react to mighty Ohio State. Bold Prediction: Trevor Lawrence has less than 200 total yards and Chase Young (OSU DE) will have five sacks.

Who will win and advance to the CFPNCG in New Orleans? Peach Bowl: Oklahoma vs LSU (LSU 48-44)

Fiesta Bowl: Clemson vs Ohio State (CLEMSON 43-34)

These teams are going to leave it all on the field and LSU will have to battle for a win. Clemson will pull away late, expect a close game and Clemson will have a touchdown in the last four minutes to pull away. This would be a battle setup for New Orleans on January 13 and remember when the National Championship is in New Orleans one team is always there....LSU.

Have a magical day and we will SEE YA! real soon.
